The course, developed in partnership with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), is designed to support candidates through current policy initiatives that are driving change in the NHS and will demonstrate how the various policies fit together and how primary care is fundamental to these changes. Primary care is the building block for this change and Practice Managers have a unique role in shaping its future.
Each programme will be delivered over two days with four weeks between each day.
The programme is delivered in four modules over the two days:
1. The NHS in transition – National and International Policy Drivers
2. Introduction to NHS Commissioning and the influence of primary care
3. Engagement & Involvement: Patient Participation PLUS
4. Building a sustainable primary care – bringing the three previous sessions together
