UNI can announce that Yorkshire and Humber Improvement Partnership (YHIP) have commissioned our team to develop a print and digital resource to support employers in recruitment, retention and support of adults with disabilities.
If you have a disability, it can be difficult to get a job or to hold onto a job you already have. Sometimes this is as a result of lack of support for you or a lack of understanding on the part of employers. YHIP have offered funding to support a number of small projects aimed at maximising the support to excluded individuals enabling them to maximise housing, education, training and employment opportunities. Our work will have a particular focus on support for adults with a learning disability and/or mental health conditions.
