The Sexual Health Action Research Project (SHARP) is a creative 12-month action research project covering Derbyshire including Derby City. The project has two main aims:
- To find out about sexual health needs, and barriers to accessing sexual health services, especially amongst those people who have poorer sexual health outcomes, and
- To involve staff, stakeholders and local people in how we find out about those needs and barriers.
Over the next 12-months we will be talking to staff, stakeholders, local residents and service users. We will use a mixture of ways to involve people, including visiting groups, interviews, and group discussions. We’ll be recruiting and working with local people as Community Researchers. We will also develop ‘Your Sexual Health Matters Research Academy’ as a distinct training and support offer for staff and stakeholders.
